Today was the beginning of my four day weekend. One word to describe it? Glorious. It's been awhile since I've enjoyed a long weekend. Though it's going to be stock full of thunderstorms and high winds (thus this blustery photo shoot) I don't seem to mind being able to get the time to relax.

I've always been enamored with the whimsical and playful look of nautical motifs. With brights a big hit this season, I decided to blend the two themes. The bright orange hues of the skirt and nail lacquer, paired with the navy colors of the cardigan and wedges, I thought made a perfect duo. I don't normally like entire collections of nail polishes. Each of the colors in the China Glaze Anchors Away collection, however, are extraordinary and totally eye candy. I just added another pair of shoes to my Jeffrey Campbell collection. Say "ahoy mate" to my Jeffrey Campbell Juanita Fab wedges. I totally ogled the Juanita wedges (checkered pattern) when they made their debut on e-commerce sites, but much to my dismay my size was sold out in a flash moment. However, it's sailor sister arrived, the Juanita Fab, and I was so excited to get my hands on them. They arrived and were way too small in comparison to normal Jeffrey Campbell sizing. So my sweetheart of a sister, Jennifer, who has an extensive Jeffrey Campbell shoe collection herself, swapped me out for her pair, which was one size up. I couldn't be more ecstatic. Hopefully my other Jeffrey Campbell shoes won't feel replaced and think that they have to walk the plank.
