The spring equinox is arriving this weekend, and the surroundings here are showing it. I am already mixing up my wardrobe with brights, whites, and florals. It is pretty exhilarating and refreshing, actually.  I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who has been anxiously waiting by my window sill watching winter make its departure. Also, I just bought some colors from OPI's newest Texas collection. A lot of the hues are pretty much set for the spring and summer seasons. I can't help being partial to it since I'm a native cowgirl myself. Y'all can read more about the OPI Texas collection here.

On another note, when I first heard about the devastation that hit Japan last week, my heart felt so heavy. It is truly sad and disheartening to see people losing their loved ones, their homes, and their jobs by swift and cruel acts of nature. True stories such as a fireman continuing to help the rescue effort even after finding out he lost his entire family to the tsunami, the fifty workers who risked their lives to help contain the nuclear plant meltdown, a man meandering for twenty hours to find his lost love amidst the rubble, people without electricity for several days in nearly freezing temperatures, and so many more are only a few of the stories that will unravel from this heartbreaking event.
