Koby (my real life huckleberry friend) and I decided to celebrate Valentine's early this year to avoid the crowd. We are pretty much hermits when it comes to congregations. We dined at the local fine restaurant Bodean's, which flies in fresh seafood twice a day. We love the Long Island duck breast dish there, their seared medallions of Maine lobster appetizer, and their white chocolate panna cotta. So you can guess what we ordered. Yum.

The leftover snow from the past couple of winter storms has begun to melt, thank goodness. Those of us who have toiled with arctic temperatures these past few weeks (there were reports that our city was experiencing temperatures colder than the South Pole, hello penguins) I am sure are just ready for any toasty weather. Note: The random umbrella in the background cites the need for anything tropical.

When I saw this heart print jumper online, I nearly squealed. Although I do think Valentine's Day themed outfits are slightly cheesy, I couldn't pass up on this adorable knit. I paired it with a bow print blouse, and it felt like the cherry on top. For those of you who know me well, are aware of how much of a nerd I am. Yes, I love Scrabble. And books. And spectacles. Anyways, this Scrabble necklace I found I thought was perfect for the occasion. It spells out the very thing that all of us want, need, and deserve.
