Here are some of the questions readers have posed to me quite a bit, so hopefully these answers will cure some of your curiosity. If you have any additional questions, feel free to email me at TheFancyTeacup@gmail.com.

What ethnicity are you?
I'm of Taiwanese descent, but born and raised here in the United States. L.A. will always be home to me.

What got you into fashion blogging?
I think everybody needs a creative outlet from the "mundane." I created this blog in the spring of last year, but wasn't sure what to do with it. I figured I love getting dolled up, being creative, writing, photography, and catching up the last trends, so it dawned on me. Have a style/fashion diary! That way I can chronicle the fun I have putting my outfits together, and have my writing have a taste of the wide, wide world. The Fancy Teacup's two-year anniversary will be coming up this November.

Since this is mainly a fashion diary, what styles do you prefer?
Although it's quite easy to get caught up into what's "trending" it's always good to have your feet glued to the ground knowing that you look the most beautiful in whatever is truly "you." I usually veer to wearing anything black, but I have given into color. And I love anything "darling," "city-sophisticated," and "edgy" if I had to categorize my looks.

What camera do you use?
Currently, I use a Canon EOS 550D with a 30mm f/1.4 lens, a 50 mm f/1.8 prime lens, and/or a 18-135 mm zoom lens. Depends on the scenario.

Who captures your outfit posts?
My best friend, the love of my life, my bf. It's so cute, because now he knows the drill. "Photo shoot today, hun? It looks like good lighting, mild winds, you just got some more new clothes, ahh!!!" The things we do for love.

What are some interesting facts about you?
Well, first of all, I'm an identical twin. My mirror image still currently resides in my home base, Los Angeles. I miss her a lot. I've been to 43 of the 50 states, and 15 countries worldwide. It's an understatement to say that I love to travel. I'm also a sucker for estate sales, anything vintage/antique, and classic books. The world would be so grey without grand libraries. I also really like cats, I just adopted a cute kitty whom I named Neko (translated to "cat" in Japanese).

What is your job?
I work full time as a corporate accountant. Style blogging is just a hobby and a nice little haven to practice on the creative side of me.

Name some things you are passionate about.
I try to eat and live healthy- which I admit isn't always easy to do. I do my best to stick to a plant based diet, juicing everyday (we use an Omega Vert juicer or a Vitamix for smoothies), and avoiding dairy products and red meats. I do love sushi, sweets, and a good brunch with eggs, so those three are my vices. I eat this way just to stay healthy. Granted it's not everyone's cup of tea, and everyone has their right to eat what they want. We do only live once, so if some choose to live it up eating steak or plants, I think that is up to the individual. I don't believe people who stick to a healthy diet should be condenscing to others who don't. People don't follow your habits when they are chided, they follow your habits when they see a worthwhile example. However, I do believe that every person should be educated about our food system, and make their own decision after that. Some recommendations for food and lifestyle education: Food Inc., Forks and Knives, Tapped, etc. As for products? I really like Acure Organics and Badger beauty items. I believe that you can find plant based products for a price that won't make your wallet cry.

I am in love with traveling. There's a wide, wide world out there. I love exploring it. I was so lucky to grow up in a family that loved to travel to famous places and not so famous places alike even if it wasn't luxurious. Open your mind to all the various cultures, cities, famous structures, natural wonders, and other lives there are to experience. Your world will not be the same. And in a spectacular way.

Be respectful of others.

Be authentic.
