Some of you may not be aware that I indeed own another pair of eyes. I didn't start wearing contacts until last fall however, so before that I was a spectacles girl. There you go, seeing me with glasses. Nerdy, right? I do not mind the look. (This is coming from a girl, however, who grew up on novels instead of television shows, and enjoyed ordering Newberry Honor Medal books from the Scholastic Book Club circulation when a kid.) The only downfall of wearing glasses is that I can not wear sunglasses unless they are prescription lenses. When Bonlook sent me these glasses, I was thrilled. Perfect mixture of geek chic and feline. Speaking of celestial objects, in my next chapter of DIY projects, do you like my galaxy nail art? It involves about 7 nail lacquer shades, but only takes about 20 minutes to complete. My first attempt was an intergalactic success, and I was pretty happy with the outer space results. Another tidbit about me as a kid, I was enamored with astronomy and would visit the NASA JPL open house in Pasadena every year. As for events, anyone excited about Fashion's Night Out? September is fashion month, but I am even more stoked this year as my city will be participating in Fashion's Night Out. I'm geared up to take on the fashion universe with my FNO collection tote and remain in orbit around all the festivities (no space suits are involved). I bid you a good rest of the week, earthlings.

First of all, your dress is really gorgeous. Is it new? Because if it is then I must head on to F21 and purchase it! Your celestial nail art is really lovely. The effect is quite mesmerizing! I suck at painting my own nails so I probably wouldn't be able to do this. I have looked at your previous posts and I must say you have a really amazing shoe collection! And your style is very much the same as mine--dainty, feminine. I admire style bloggers who read and actually enjoy it. I am a bookworm, too and as a kid I read a lot of books too instead of watch television. Those glasses are chic. :) I wear contact lenses, too. I hate my poor vision. :( I used to wear glasses as well but it's just too inconvenient for me and I hated the way it made me look so I switched to lenses.

Also a spectacles girl, love glasses - I actually look forward to my opticians check up in case of the potential of getting a new set of specs. I do get the annoyance with sunnies, especially as cheap sunnies from primark are now off limits! It also makes the exchange to sunnies more tricky having specs. True test of nerdiness? Being so immediately obsessed with finding out the title of the book you're holding in that picture, that I zoomed in on it, squinted a bit more to make out the middle word, typed the title into Google, and found a place to read excerpts online! *embarrassed* What's worse, though, is that I actually got bummed when I saw that my library didn't have a hard copy for me! It's these moments that I want to wear glasses too! But my eyes are kind of perfect, never had any trouble with my sight... So buying glasses seems so stupid..
