I've always had an inner cowgirl. Born in Texas (yee-haw), but raised in Los Angeles (such a contrast), there's a secret longing inside of me just to run around wild and be rowdy. So imagine my delight when my sister, Jennifer, found these boots for me at the Zara semi-annual sale (twice a year my wallet shrinks in fear). I lassoed those babies in, knowing they had a place in my shoe corral for sure.
While we were capturing this shoot, a couple of truck drivers asked us if we wanted to use their trucks as a backdrop. How cool is that?! Only in the dust bowl region can this type of playful scenario arise. People are sure friendly in these parts of the country. And I'm not going to lie, this constant 110+ degree weather is sure making me weary. The forecast for August appears to be showing no sign of relief, either. Here's to another month of hot, hot, heat! Giddy-up.
