For those of you who aspire to become detectives, you might have noticed the trail of rain drops in the photos as they splashed a watercolor painting around me. We managed to snap a few a shots during the intermission before the rain started to perform its dance again. It is supposed to rain for a good measure the next few days, so it is time to curl up with a hot cup of tea and a good parcel from my library.
Recently, the rain has made me nostalgia of my couple trips to Taiwan. For some reason the industrial scents, the slick downtown roads, and the overcast skies remind me of the times we weaved through the buzzing metropolis alive with mopeds, alluring bakeries on corner streets, night markets, and the incandescent light shows blinking in the windows of tall buildings. Although I was born and raised in the U.S., it's always nice to see that part of my heritage that is of a different world. A tidbit about me: I've been to 43 of the 50 states, and to 15 countries. Even if you don't care to travel, I encourage you make it on your bucket list to visit at least one other country. It is definitely an enchanting and eye-opening experience that will give you something to reminiscence.
