Sometimes, a girl just needs a dress to waltz around in. Like this shift dress I discovered the other day. Retro chic and light as a feather. It makes me want to perform ballet in it when Christmas time comes around. (Or perhaps cause a girl to wish for the nutcracker in her pantry to transform into a handsome prince and whisk her away to the Land of Sweets. Any girl can dream, right? I do have a real life handsome prince though, so I will let another girl have her own dreams.) But alas, Christmas eve is quite a ways, and there is still one more week before the autumnal equinox. So with a little mustard here, a dash of cognac there, and topped with a plum, viola! My welcoming outfit to autumn. May the golden, fiery leaves arrive sooner. Then, we can converse about the waltz of the snowflakes on a more opportune time.
