Practicality has become part of my decision process when it comes to purchasing clothes. As I work full-time in the corporate setting all day, I must maintain a more professional appearance than I would during the weekend. Sometimes I forego buying certain things, just because I will not be able to wear them to work and I am no longer wish to buy things that I can only wear once in a great while. Seems a bit frivolous. I take mental note to fill my wardrobe with clothing that can worn for many uses, just like a flower has many purposes--loose leaf teas, corsages, natural display of affection, a lovely way to border a home, etc. So anytime a "professional" item that fits my style catches my eye, I just blossom. This peplum skirt created that exact sort of budding romance with me. Appropriate to wear in the office, and on trend. Perfection.
